Ubrique has a wide heritage represented by different examples of religious arquitecture. Check out "San Antonio" Church, built in the XVI century, "Capuchinos" monastery of the same century, "Nuestra Señora de la O" Church and the "San Pedro" Church and many churches of Jesus, San Juan de Letrán, the Baroque Convent of Capuchinos, and many more.

Ubrique is in central Andalucia and is surrounded by magnificent mountain ranges and countryside. It is an ideal get-away retreat, far from the frantic tourist areas of the 'Costas'.

Ubrique is an enchanting white town whose history is hidden under the blanket of the mountains almost covering the town. It has a rich past reflecting its heritage with narrow streets on a medieval layout, fountains and large houses.

It is best approached from the north, on a good road from the village of El Bosque. It was built on the ancient Roman City of Ocuri and there are remains of houses, public baths and other buildings of interest.

There are two major natural parks closeby. On the edge of the town are the Sierra de Grazalema and the Alcornocales. This makes the whole area ideal for walking in the cork forests, mountain biking and guided tours which are organised by the tourist office in the town.
