Imessouane Plage is a small fishing village, 64 Kilometres North of Agadir with many operating fishing boats.
There are several village shops and cafes of a basic nature, catering for the local inhabitants and visitors who are predominantly wind surfers.
In 1998, the Japanese government gave considerable financial help to develop the fishing facilities.
Estate roads and infrastructure have been completed for a housing project at one end of the village.
There is a camp site, largely given over to camper vans and in addition there is a small hostal. Both are located at the edge of the village and open all year round.
There are two well maintained tarmacced roads about 5 kms from the main Agadir to Essaouira Road .
