It is best approached from the north, on a good road from
the village of El Bosque. It was built on the ancient Roman
City of Ocuri and there are remains of houses, public baths
and other buildings of interest.
There are two major natural parks closeby. On the edge of
the town are the Sierra de Grazalema and the Alcornocales.
This makes the whole area ideal for walking in the cork forests,
mountain biking and guided tours which are organised by the
tourist office in the town.

New Hotel in Ubrique

There are two or three good hotels and restaurants
in the town and a number of small hotels in the surrounding
mountains. Visitors will find themselves made very welcome
and the hotels in the town would make an ideal base
to explore the properties we have for sale.

The town of Ubrique, with more than 13.000 inhabitants is
the largest and most industrial village in the whole area.
It is the centre of the European leather manufacturing industry
and therefore has many shops and factories producing high
quality leather goods for most of the well known brand names.
